Cuba Road Bridge Update JUNE 2006

Cuba Road Bridge remains CLOSED. Upon removal of the cover of the bridge decking [PHOTO], it was revealed that a different repair will be required than as contracted. The Village Engineer has recommended that to accomplish the larger scope of work, the closure will be extended to June 30, 2006. Please observe the construction signs and exercise care in all road construction areas.

Ridge Road Project 2006

The final phase of the Ridge Road improvements is expected to begin in June. The scope of construction operations will be similar to the work completed in 2003 and 2004 on Ridge Road, with extensive edge patching and shoulder work prior to resurfacing. A minimum of one lane of traffic will be kept open at all times; however, drivers are encouraged to obey traffic signs and plan one's route and travel times during the construction. A detour route will be posted for an alternate routes. Construction operations are anticipated to last throughout the month of June.

Cuba Township Highway Department provides the snowplowing services and ice control for Village maintained roads.
