Alerts to You Program - ComEd

ComEd announces their Free Outage Alert Pilot Program available to the first 10,000 customers that sign up and they will receive the alerts now through July, 2009.  This program allows for customers to be notified if there is an outage at their home even if they aren't home.

And to provide customers with more information, for the first time ComEd now has an outage map on its Web site. This easy-to-use map offers color-coded, regional information about outages, including a list of towns and the number of customers in that region without power.  By enrolling as an online user, customers can also use the Web site to report power outages, manage their ComEd accounts, and view and pay their bills.

In addition to the alerts and outage map, ComEd outage-related Web pages are mobile-enabled for customers to view outage information clearly on mobile devices.

Subscription and availability is limited. News posted June 25, 2009 4:00PM CT

ComEd Information

1-800-334-7661 Dial (1-800 EDISON 1) for all calls except Police or Fire emergencies in which case dial 9-1-1. When calling ComEd you will be speaking to a Customer Service Representative at one of their Call Centers. The Service Representative will enter your request or problem into an automated dispatch system which will create a Customer Ticket. This ticket is printed to a remote receiving department where a response is created. Please note the system is driven by addresses not location. Communication Committeee Has a Web Spot dotInfo

Under the Village Links there is now a tab called Community News which takes one directly to the Web pages managed by the Communication Committeee as Chaired by Nikki Panos. It is a good starting place to find a high quality of communication and information between the elected and elector. But most of all it is intended to foster community awarness and involvement.

Democracy means decision by those concerned.
