VILLAGE OF BARRINGTON HILLS Minutes of the Special Meeting June 19, 2007 President Abboud called the Special Meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Roll Call. Board Guests Robert G. Schueppert, Trustee Richard Lamkey, resident Julie McKevitt, Trustee Gene Hansen, resident Steven Knoop, Trustee Arnold Cernik, resident Beth Mallen, Trustee Maureen Duffy, resident Douglas Wambach, Village Attorney Beatrice Duffy, resident Elaine M. Ramesh, Village Clerk Patrick Finn, resident Mary Klest, resident Hollie and Alan Free, residents Mimi Burke, resident Barry and Cathy LeCompte, residents Mike Zachar, resident John Jakobsze Linda Fox, resident Marilyn Heaton, resident James Root, resident Lois Haubold, resident Greg Schafer, resident Ken Michaels President Abboud indicated that the meeting was called to continue to allow public comment regarding the special use permit application to build a cell tower on Barrington-Countryside Park District property at Bateman Rd. After this introductory statement, the President of the Barrington-Countryside Park District, Dick Lamkey, requested a 45 day continuance in order to resolve certain issues with regard to the application between the Park District and American Tower. Village Board Special Meeting June 19, 2007 – page 2 Trustee Mallen motioned to approve a 45 day continuance for the consideration of the cell permit application. Trustee Schueppert seconded. Some residents questioned Mr. Lamkey’s authority to request a continuance. They indicated that the Park District commissioners had unanimously voted to withdraw the application at their most recent meeting. After discussing this matter, a vote of the Village Board was taken. All present said aye. Motion Approved Trustee Schueppert motioned to adjourn the special meeting at 7:29 pm.
