Minutes of the Special Meeting of October 30, 2003

President Kempe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call.

ROADS AND BRIDGES – Robert G. Abboud

2003 Road Program Drainage - This was a Special Meeting held to accept the bids for 
special drainage construction in the 2003 Road Improvement Program.  Michael Lukich, 
Village Engineer, reviewed the results of the bid opening on October 29, 2003 and 
recommended Prime Construction Company, Hampshire, Illinois.  Trustee Abboud  made 
the motion, seconded by Trustee McKevitt  to accept the bid proposal of Prime 
Construction Company for the work not to exceed $36,000.  Roll Call.

Ayes:    5  (McKevitt, Sapp, Gohl, Abboud, Kempe)
Nays:    0
Absent: 2  (Smithe, Horne)
							Motion Approved

Trustee Abboud made the motion, seconded by Trustee McKevitt that Prime 
Construction Company be permitted to undertake additional work beyond the initial bid 
program, but only after the satisfactory completion of such, at a cost not to exceed 
$27,395.00, but in no event to exceed the accepted budget of the 2003 Road Program.  
Roll Call.

Nays:    1 (Sapp)
Absent: 2 (Smithe, Horne)

								Motion Approved

Trustee Sapp motioned to adjourn the Special Meeting at 7:15 p.m. Trustee Abboud 
seconded. All present said aye.
