1.3 Village of Barrington Hills and Village of Barrington Minutes of the Special Meeting of August 28, 2003 President Reagle called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Roll Call for the Village of Barrington: Present Absent Marshall Reagle, President Karen Darch, Trustee Jack Schaefer, Trustee Beth Raseman, Trustee Jeanne Yeagley, Trustee Paul Hunt, Trustee Jim Daluga, Trustee Curt Allison, Village Manager Denise Pieroni, Assistant Village Manager Roll Call for the Village of Barrington Hills: Present Absent James A. Kempe, President Fritz H. Gohl, Trustee Theodore L. Horne, Pro-Tem Robert G. Abboud, Jr., Trustee Daria G. Sapp, Trustee Walter E. Smithe, Trustee Julie McKevitt, Trustee Douglas Wambach, Village Attorney Marla J. Russo, Village Clerk There was a discussion regarding a boundary agreement between the Boards of the Village of Barrington and the Village of Barrington Hills. Douglas Wambach, Village Attorney for the Village of Barrington Hills spoke to the history of the Wamberg Property and story of the proposal in Barrington Hills. Issues today still remain linked mainly to density and traffic. Ted and Shelley Singer, Barrington Hills residents on Oakdene Road, spoke regarding the impact this development could have on their property. Robert Best, Attorney for the Wamberg Family Trust, addressed the traffic issue. He said that traffic studies indicated reverse flow of traffic to this property. Special Joint Meeting August 28, 2003 – page 2 The following are policy issues for the Village of Barrington: 1. Square foot limitations. 2. Lot #5, regulated by availability of utilities. 3. Water utility rates. 4. Route 14 intersection improvements at New Hart Road. 5. Water retention areas in Barrington Hills. The events and discussion of this meeting were for the purpose of information to both Boards, and neither Board took action. Trustee Smithe motioned to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Abboud seconded.
