Lou Anne Majewski

David M. Stieper
Absent: Thomas Roeser
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVISION: Lee Brown of Teska Associates, Inc. presented a draft of the amendment of the Comprehensive Plan. According to statute, the Plan Commission is required to make a recommendation of the document to the Village Board who, in turn, will establish a date for a public hearing at the an upcoming Plan Commission meeting. That date will most likely be the regular Plan Commission meeting set for Monday, November 7th. If a final draft is approved, it will be up to the Village Board to adopt it as the new Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Brown advised that the draft contained revisions to the text only and pointed out that the latest draft included both a land use map and an equestrian trail network map.
Commissioner Messer reported that the vast majority of the Riding Club members are definitely in favor of the proposed map and its inclusion in the amended Comprehensive Plan. He noted there was only one individual who wanted to be sure no trails were identified on his property, which Mr. Brown said he would remove.
In a brief discussion of the land use map, Commissioner Hennelly brought up the fact that the Wamberg property adjacent to Hart Road does not indicate current zoning. Mr. Kosin agreed that this property should be highlighted in red for such designation, pointing out however that the land use map was not a zoning map.
Motion: Commissioner Majewski made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Hennelly, to recommend that the Village Board set a date for a public hearing to consider the latest draft of the amendment of the Comprehensive Plan. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
A complete discussion of the draft would be held at a Special Meeting set for Monday, November 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Brown said he would do his best to incorporate all recommended changes in the final draft to be discussed at the public hearing.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. after being so moved and seconded.
Respectfully submitted,
Lou Anne Majewski
